Tesco
stream ahead with VIRTUE

Tesco recently signed a long term streaming alliance with VIRTUE
Broadcasting for the Tesco.com site.
Tesco who sell a huge range of products through their highly successful
e-commerce website including over 1.2 million book titles and every
new CD,DVD and Video released in the UK have now introduced on demand
streamingaudio content to enable customers to browse and listen
to albums and singles before they buy.
This follows the success of trials the streaming trials Tesco ran
in 2001
with VIRTUE where they evaluated the benefits of streaming to complement
and enhance e-commerce sales .
The trial clearly demonstrated that streaming audio added to customer
and
users experience and had a direct impact on sales. The trial included
clips
from recent releases from leading global artists such as Kylie and
Robbie.
