Microsoft UK held an external webcast in November 2005 as part of new product launches (SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and Biz Talk Server 2006) at Birmingham ICC.

World Television’s credentials as preferred partner to Microsoft Sweden and as Europe’s largest video webcaster, made it well-placed to deliver Microsoft UK’s external webcast.

Microsoft felt that webcasting was the prefect medium to communicate with its customers and developers audience in a more effective, engaging and interactive way and the event was a tremendous success.
Previous projects undertaken for Microsoft include the development of two web-TV channels for Microsoft Sweden, Technet TV and MSDNTV which are targeted at IT professional user groups. The programmes inform and train IT professionals on Microsoft’s development tools and provide practice advice on how Microsoft’s products can be applied.

World Television Sweden produce around 25 web-TV programmes per year for Microsoft using Microsoft staff as presenters at World Television’s studios in Stockholm. The content is then edited, encoded and delivered online.

World Television Australia delivers webcasts for Microsoft Australia aimed at internal audiences. These regional broadcasts keep staff located in Australia and New Zealand up-to-date on company progress.

Steve Garvey, CEO, World Television comments: ‘We are delighted to continue to work with Microsoft across all areas of our business and this relationship further demonstrates how World Television can service global clients at a local level through our international platform’.
